Psychosexual Therapy

Psychosexual therapy is specifically designed to help individuals and couples living with sexual difficulties that are of a psychological and sexual nature and that are too difficult or complex to be resolved on their own without professional input.

  • Erectile dysfunction (ED)

  • Premature ejaculation and delayed ejaculation

  • Issues with orgasms

  • Pain during intercourse

  • Low sex desire

  • Sexuality

  • Communication difficulties

  • Intimacy

  • Menopause

  • Sex and ageing

As a qualified psychosexual therapist, I am a mental health adviser specifically trained to deal with all kinds of sexual difficulties whatever the cause. Sexual difficulties vary in severity and complexity and some may be minor and temporary, often linked to more recent experiences that have caused stress, while other sexual difficulties will have been around for some time. It is always advisable to seek medical advice from your GP for medical tests.

Individuals and couples living with long-term sexual difficulties are often too embarrassed and ashamed to discuss their concerns with anyone, even their partners and this can impact on their life, wellbeing and relationships.

Psychosexual therapists do not judge individuals or couples because of their sexual desires or fetishes, but rather recognise that all individuals are different and will desire different sexual experiences. Psychosexual therapists provide an outlet for individuals and couples to talk about their sexual and relationship issues with a trusted and supportive therapist who specialises in resolving sexual difficulties.
